CAMP 1 & 2 - Automata!
CAMP 1 - Automata: Making things move! (2-Day)

When: Monday - Tuesday, 6-7 October 2025
Age: 6 - 10 years old
Spaces are limited: Only 10 kids per camp
During this camp, you will learn the basics of motion! I will introduce you to some important engineering and scientific terms. You'll explore the principles of pulleys, levers, forces, and mechanical movement. Once you have a grasp of these concepts, you’ll have the opportunity to get creative in the workshop and build some amazing contraptions. Over the course of two days, we will also delve into the magic of automata. You'll learn to transform a mouse into a ballerina, make a fish swim underwater, and construct a boat to sail on the ocean.
Don't forget to bring your swimmers, water shoes, sunscreen, and hat! When we are not building or working on your projects, we will be playing in the water, exploring the forest, and hunting bugs!

CAMP 2 - Automata, Whirligigs AND Kinetic Toys (3-Day)

When: Wednesday - Friday, 8-10 October 2025
Age: 6 - 10 years old
Spaces are limited: Only 10 kids per camp
During this camp, we will explore the mystery and magic of motion! If you've ever felt like an "undercover-nerdy-physics-loving-superhero," then this camp is perfect for you!
We’ll create our own secret language using terms like equilibrium while learning about Newtonian mechanics. We’ll discover how the downward expulsion of gases creates a reactive force that propels rockets upwards. Remember, when an object is pushed or pulled, it pushes or pulls equally in the opposite direction.

During these three days you will learn about kinetic energy while building toys, whirligigs, and even more advanced automata contraptions.
Throughout this camp, we will let your imaginations run wild as you plan, draw, and build prototypes. And yes, we might even have some explosions along the way!

Camp 3 & 4 - Monster Pottery Madness!
CAMP 3 - Monster Pottery Madness (3-Day)

When: Monday - Wednesday, 13-15 October 2025
Age: 6 - 9 years old
Spaces are limited: Only 10 kids per camp
Do you enjoy the feeling of clay as you squeeze it between your fingers? Do you like to draw aliens and monsters with three heads, five eyeballs, and features that resemble an octopus? If so, this camp is perfect for you! Welcome to Monster Pottery Madness! We will use all sorts of clay to bring your Pottery Monsters to life, including real clay, air-dry clay, plasticine, and even paper clay! We will use the pottery wheel, our hands, and even our feet if necessary! Join us for an exciting three days of clay fun!
Last but not least, don't forget to bring your swimwear, water shoes, sunscreen, and a hat! When we’re not building or working on projects, we’ll be playing in the water, exploring the forest, or hunting for bugs!

CAMP 4 - Monster Pottery Madness (2-Day)

When: Thursday - Friday, 16-17 October 2025
Age: 6 - 9 years old
Spaces are limited: Only 10 kids per camp
It's almost Halloween! Join us for a fun and creative session where we'll make some monster-worthy flower pots. Using various materials, we'll create our own clay. You'll learn how to make pinch pots, roll coils, and design monster bowls and spooky cups.
In between the pottery activities, we'll hold a mud competition to see who can take the title of "Muddiest Person in the World" away from Uncle Danie—let's see if we can make him cry like a baby!

Camp 5 - My Pet Lamp!
CAMP 5 - Make a PET Bedside Lamp! (2-Day)

When: Monday - Tuesday, 20 - 21 October 2025
Age: 6 - 9 years old
Spaces are limited: Only 10 kids per camp
This is a very exciting camp! Do you have a pet? A cat or a dog? Or even an imaginary dinosaur? During these two days, we will create a Pet (or Dinosaur) Bedside Lamp.
On the first day, we will draw all the pieces and cut them out! You will learn how to use a simple saw, drill holes, and assemble everything using bolts and nuts.
On the second day, we will teach you how to attach the lamp socket, electric cable, plug, and light bulb. After that, all that’s left to do is decorate your Pet Bedside Lamp and take it home to impress your friends and family!
However, this camp is not for the faint-hearted; it requires patience for cutting, sanding, and a determined attitude when things don’t fit the first time!

Camp 6 - Magical Wardrobe
CAMP 6 - Magical Wardrobe (3-Day)

When: Wednesday - Friday, 22 - 24 October 2025
Age: 6 - 9 years old
Spaces are limited: Only 10 kids per camp
Have you ever read or watched "The Hobbit" or "The Lord of the Rings" by J.R.R. Tolkien? How about "Harry Potter"? Have you ever thought, "I would love to have a wizard staff that would make Gandalf the Great jealous!" Or a magic wand to turn your sibling into a "F-R-" ... friendlier person? If so, this is the camp for you!
Over three days, we will select, clean, straighten, carve, and create our perfect wizard staff or magical wand. Additionally, we'll craft the ideal hiding place for all your magical spells. And what is your magic layer without the perfect container for your mermaid tears and priceless red dragon blood droplets?
Come and discover the magic of the forest! Let’s make some potions and even bake some witch's finger cookies.
However, be warned! If any of you are considering turning Uncle Danie into a FROG, you should join the Monster Pottery Madness Camp! Uncle Danie is as old as the mountains and will NEVER find a princess to kiss him so he can turn back into a prince!
